Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website and the MegaRider platform and mobile app.
Who is responsible
MegaRider is the controller of the data described here. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to hello@megarider.cy.
What we collect
If you leave your email to be notified about the launch. We store the address, which button you used, the language of the page, and a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash exists only to limit how many times the form can be submitted from one place; it cannot be turned back into your address.
If you create an account on the platform. Your name or nickname, email, and whatever you choose to add to your profile — photo, motorcycles, routes, club memberships.
If you enable live tracking or record rides. Your location while the feature is active. This is optional, it is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time.
Automatically. Standard server logs, which contain the IP address, the time of the request and the page requested.
Why we are allowed to
- Your consent — for the launch notification and for location data. You give it explicitly and can withdraw it at any time.
- Performing a service you asked for — running your account, showing you the map, delivering your messages.
- Our legitimate interest — keeping the service secure and free of abuse.
How long we keep it

Closing your account removes your data within 30 days.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Data is processed by the companies that host the service and deliver our email on our behalf, under contracts that bind them to the same protection. Anything you publish yourself — a profile, a route, a post — is visible according to the privacy settings you choose.
Where it is stored
On servers located in the European Union.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- give you a copy in a portable format,
- stop or limit a particular use,
- withdraw a consent you gave earlier.
Write to hello@megarider.cy and we will answer within one month. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Analytics
We count visits with Yandex.Metrica (counter 98152624). It sets its own cookies and collects de-identified data about how you use the site: pages, referrers, device, approximate region from your IP address, and session recordings — cursor movement, scrolling and clicks (Webvisor).
That data is processed by Yandex LLC and stored on its servers, including outside the European Economic Area. We use it only to understand what works on the site and what does not — never for advertising or profiling.
You can opt out in two ways: turn on "Do Not Track" in your browser, which Metrica honours, or install Yandex's official opt-out add-on.
Cookies
This website sets no advertising cookies. The only cookies it sets are Metrica's — see the section above. It stores your language choice locally in your browser so the site does not ask again — that is technical storage, and it never leaves your device.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Substantial changes will be announced on the site.
